On the Home Page, you'll only be able to see 4 received SMSes, which means you'll need to click on the SMS Inbox to review all received SMS messages. The Inbox will show you the Patient Name, the number they are texting from, the received date of the message, and a short preview of the received message.

You can also respond to received SMS messages by clicking the Reply button. You can click the blue link of their name to open up the whole conversation if needed.

We strongly recommend duplicating existing templates that you wish to make changes to! This can save you a headache if you accidentally make a change you didn't want to make. You can duplicate a template via the Duplicate button with an existing template selected.

How do I disable reminders for a deceased patient?

  1. Set a Patient Alert of Deceased in MaacPractice by navigating to the Patients Ability > Patient Tab, selecting the Alert sub-tab, and adding a Deceased alert.

  2. Archive the patient within MacPractice. MacPractice Engage will only send confirmations and reminders to patients that are active in MacPractice.

  3. If the event that you do not wish to archive the patient, you can navigate to the Patients Ability > Patient Tab > Communication Preferences Sub-Tab and set this to “None”.
