Can I Update to MacOS Sonoma?

Current Status: Partial Compatibility with Build 15.18.5

MacPractice’s development team is working to secure full compatibility with Sonoma. Our Build 15.18.5 has been deemed to be safe to update to on Sonoma, provided that your office network computers that are connecting to the server are not a mix of Sonoma and Monterey computers. If you have a split, we recommend updating Monterey computers to Ventura if possible.

We will soon be unveiling Build 16 to a wide release, which will be our “formal” compatible build for Sonoma. We’ll update this space when it’s available.

We have been advised that Planmeca Digital Radiography devices are also not compatible with MacOS Sonoma at this time.

You can disable automatic updates by navigating to System Preferences > Software Update, and unchecking "Automatically Keep my Mac Up To Date".
