New Feature - Server Management Application

• In 12.11, we're testing our new Server Management App, which will allow you to easily track the status of your MacPractice Server, and perform some database management. We plan on starting simple and then slowly expanding the functionality of this App. You can read more about this new feature here. 

Changes to eClaim Reports

• We've made a few changes to how eClaim reports are handled. By default, eClaim reports will be retrieved overnight if the Server is running, and sending eClaims will also auto-retrieve eClaim reports. You can read more details here.

• Addressed an issue when updating from 12.9 to 12.11, where attachments would not display properly post-update and a "file not found" error would occur.

• Resolved an issue with patients with more than two insurance claims, where in an ERA Manager payment, if you change a value on a payment or write-off field, and then change the outstanding claim selection, MacPractice would unexpectedly quit.

• Resolved a display issue in Dark Mode where the patient names within the Statement Manager table were still appearing dark in error. 

• Addressed an issue when using the Statements Manager in Dark Mode could potentially cause MacPractice to unexpectedly quit.

Notes

• Resolved an issue where if you add an imagine to a Note template, and then select "Move to background" for the image, where the selected image would shift to a different location in error. 

Reports - Clinical Quality Measures

• Updated several CQM reports so that the SNOMED codes listed on the reports were the correct ones used to populate numerators and denominators. 

Reports - Measure Calculation

• Addressed an issue with the Patient Education report where the Recorded Education Resource column would not update as expected. 

• Resolved an issue with the HIE (Receive and Incorporate) report where the numerator would not update as expected. 

Patients

• Updated languages so that they contained ISO639-1 codes used for exporting CCDAs.

Scheduling - Transparencies

• Resolved an issue where Transparencies in the Transparency Type node under the "All Blocks' tab are not sorting by date as expected.

• Corrected an issue where rearranged and resized columns would not retain their changes in the TSYS Transaction Log of the Accounting Ability.

Notes

• Corrected an issue that could occur when creating a new Note using an existing Template, then using Command-P to save and export the note, then moving the note to a locked folder. In this situation, the newly created note would appear blank in the locked folder in error.

• Addressed an issue with the Insurance Claims Outstanding report, where some claims would mistakenly pull into the report in error.

• Resolved an issue where if a user does not clock out from a shift on the last day of a month, and remains clocked in for multiple days, they would disappear from the time clock schedule.

• Resolved an issue where generating a Transaction Log in the Accounting Ability would time out in error.

Video Capture

Ledger

• Corrected an issue when after creating a negative adjustment from an insurance payment window, where if you use the Unapply Selected Charge option, the unapplied negative adjustment is not properly accounted for in the Accounting Ability in error.

• Resolved a display issue where if you change the Deposit Account in the Payment Window, the Procedure Date label would turn red indicating a problem when no problem exists. 

• Corrected a minor display issue where in a treatment rebuild window, the "Use Current Plan Benefits" checkbox would not display as intended. 

• Addressed some potential slowness on the backend of the database when posting charges. 

• Resolved an issue where if you refunded a payment and then edited the payment so it was lower than the actual refund amount, strange behavior could occur in error.

• Addressed an issue when mapping an ICD9 code to an ICD10 code from the Charge window, where if you create a claim shortly after, MacPractice will request you remap the code in error.

• Addressed an issue when using the search feature in Database Utilities, where if the search doesn't find any matches, those utilities that don't match the search are still displayed in error.

Managers - ERA Manager

• Addressed a printing issue where the background would not print properly when printing from the ERA Manager. 

Managers - Statements

• Addressed an issue in very rare and unique circumstances where the Statements manager could take into account previous unapplied amounts that would not show up in Unapplied Balance reports or on the patient's ledger. This has been resolved. 

Miscellaneous

• Added dark mode support to some less commonly used areas of the software.

References - Insurance

• Resolved an issue where a user could archive an insurance reference with outstanding claims tied to it in error.

• Addressed a display issue when viewing reports in Mojave's dark mode.

• Corrected an issue where a forward slash in the section name was causing buttons and the gear icon from working as intended.

• Added the new 2019 ADA Claim Form. It is important to note here that the Veterans' Administration is now requiring all dental claims to be filed with this form.

• Resolved an issue where iEHR would unexpectedly quit when selecting "Family Member - Unknown" in a Family History element. 

• Corrected an issue where iEHR could unexpectedly quit when tapping off of a form with an immunization with route selected. 

HL7

• Resolved an issue where in certain circumstances, SIU HL7 messages would cause MacPractice to unexpectedly quit when updating patient demographics. 

Ledger

• Resolved an issue where in certain cases when creating new charges, the Recall field could be pre-populated even if there's no default Recall tie configured in that charge's fee. 

• Addressed an issue regarding incorrect write off amount when multiple payments are involved in certain circumstances. 

• Resolved a potential issue when attempting to print from the Ledger with no items selected. 

• Adjusted the Payment/Adjustment Type drop down in the Payment menu to be better able to distinguish adjustment types.

• Addressed an issue where MacPractice could unexpectedly quit or cause database errors when adding insurance records and posting insurance payments under very specific circumstances. 

• Resolved an issue where if a Communication Preference (In Patients Ability > Patient Tab > Communication Sub-Tab) is not set, if you send out AutoRemind Recall/Follow-up reminders via a Marketing Report for a patient, every other patient would not receive a recall notification in error. 

• Addressed a display issue when editing Insurance and Referrals fields in the Patient Tab of the Patients Ability, where your data entry would not be visible until saved. 

Preferences

• Addressed an issue where the "Pull from License" button in eStatement Preferences was not working as intended.

References - Insurance

• Resolved an issue where a selected eClaim Template would revert to "none" in certain circumstances. 

Reports

• Resolved a display issue when highlighting a record in a filter selector, where the text does not stand out when selected. 

Reports - Measure Calculation

• Addressed an issue where the BMI and Blood Pressure report would spin endlessly when trying to generate the report. 

• Addressed an issue with the Patient Electronic Access report, where running the report for lengths of time shorter than a year would result in MacPractice unexpectedly quitting.

• Resolved an issue with the Summary of Care Measure report, where if two referrals were listed on the same patient, they would only be listed once on the report in error. 

Rx

• Added a function to prevent all patient medication records from being viewed unless a specific patient is selected with the patient selector. An alert will appear the first time you navigate to the Rx Ability with no patient selected.

Scheduling

• Corrected an issue where if the "Allow Overlaps with Appointments/Blocked Timeslots" preference in Preferences > Scheduling is disabled, the schedule would still allow overlapping appointments in error.

• Resolved an issue when creating repeating appointments, where the custom option would be reset upon saving in error.

• Addressed an issue when changing Appointment Display text colors to white or bright colors, where the color choice would not be precise, causing display issues on both light and dark modes.  

• Corrected an issue where if you create or update a text display option in the Appointment Display node > Text Tab, the drop down for Format would reset upon saving to dashes in error. 

Sidebar

• Addressed an issue where if a client computer has issues communicating with the server computer, the sidebar's currently loaded patients would all read as deceased. We have revived the incorrectly dead patients just in time for Halloween.

Timeclock

• Resolved an issue where in certain circumstances, Timesheet Reports would cause MacPractice to unexpectedly quit. 

TSYS

• Addressed a display issue in the Accounting Ability > Transaction log on Dark Mode on macOS Mojave. 

• Resolved an issue after deleting a payment that contained a TSYS credit card transaction, where a user could not repost these transactions from the Accounting Ability's Transaction Log as intended. This would also impact a non-ledger sale/refund.
