Protocols and Ciphers
The Protocols and Ciphers guide lists the ciphers, protocols, and algorithm information for MacPractice in the event that a cipher is needed for any MacPractice hashed files. The cipher used can be verified by pasting this line into Terminal:
openssl s_client -connect tickettracker.macpractice.net:443
HashingMacPractice generates and verifies file fingerprints using the SHA-256 hash algorithm. For information on the File Fingerprinting process please view the File Menu - File Fingerprint documentation.
EncryptionThe MacPractice encryption and decryption algorithm is AES-256. For more information on encrypting and decrypting files using MacPractice, please see the File Menu - Encrypt/Decrypt documentation.
