Missing/Invalid Facility NPI

This rejection message is stating that there was a facility included on the claim, but the facility didn't have a Type 2 NPI (organization/group) listed in the Facility Reference. A Facility is placed on a claim when the services were rendered in a location separate from the office. Because of this the Facility should have an NPI that is specifically for that location.Â
To fix the claim go to References > Facility, and select the facility that appears on the claim. At the bottom of the screen, there is a field for National Provider ID (NPI). After entering the Type 2 (organization/group) NPI, save, and rebuild the claim.
