ePrescribe V2 - PDMP / PMP / APPRISS

If your state allows or requires Prescription Drug Monitoring (PDMP), it is possible to initiate these services through the NewCrop Portal. To begin with PDMP, please follow the instructions outlined below:

Manual Login PDMP

If you are using Manual Login, you will need to have an account set up to access states' individual websites for PDMP.

Note: If you do not have an account set up already, you can create one from a link on the state’s PDMP Login page.

First, you’ll click the “PDMP” link present below the patient name on the Compose Rx tab in ePrescribe:

Clicking the PDMP link will expand options for PDMP for this patient. You’ll need to enable the “PDMP” toggle outlined in red in the image below to confirm that you are directly involved in the care of the patient and have received their consent to view PDMP information.

Next, you’ll click a State Name to open a link to that state’s PDMP site.

By default, the patient’s home state and surrounding states are displayed. If you need to select an additional state, there’s a “Show All States” checkbox that’ll display all states if enabled.

Once you’ve clicked a state and you’ve been taken to that State’s PDMP site, you’ll be presented with a login page (which vary widely in appearance). You’ll use your provided email and password to sign into that state site’s account, or you can create an account typically from that login page.

Automated PDMP

Automated PDMP services are available through Bamboo Health (formerly known as APPRISS Health). This is a way to quickly pull in PDMP information for your patient without having to manually search a state's PDMP database.

If you haven't registered for automated services, NewCrop will provide a link to the Bamboo Health PDMP Integration Request page.

To access Bamboo PDMP Reporting, you’ll click on the PDMP link under a patient’s name on the Compose Rx tab much like the manual method.

Next, you’ll ensure that the PDMP toggle is turned on to confirm that you are directly involved in the care of the patient and have received their consent to view PDMP information. Once this is done, you can click on the Bamboo PDMP Reporting button as shown below:

If you are already registered for automated PDMP with Bamboo Health, a window will appear with the patient’s PDMP results.

NOTE: If you are registered but receive a PDMP Log In Error, you will need to update your PDMP credentials in NewCrop before you can access your patient's information.

If you are not registered, you’ll see a message indicating you aren’t registered for Automated PDMP and you’ll be provided a button to click to sign up. Simply click this button and follow any provided instructions.
