We recommend disabling automatic updates on your Macs to avoid a potential scenario where you are automatically updated to a MacOS version that is not compatible with the MacPractice software.

To disable automatic MacOS updates on your Mac  

  • Click on the Apple Menu in the top left corner of your display and select “System Settings”. Once you’re there, select “General”, and then in the General list, you should see “Software Update”.

  • In the resulting Software Update section, there will be an “Automatic Updates” line with a little “i” icon on the right-hand side. Click this, and you can toggle off “Install MacOS Updates”.
