Offices updating from 12.21.3 & 13.11.2 - With this update, there are some changes with our software and our integration with AutoRemind to allow for continued service. With these changes, AutoRemind will need to install their new Satellite Application and generate a specific secure password for your office for their installation! We have included AutoRemind in this email so they are aware of your update status, so that they may follow up with you. We also have included their contact information below so that you may proactively work with them to ensure there is limited disruption, if any, to your AutoRemind services.

AutoRemind Email: support@autoremind.us
Offices updating from 12.11 and older - Contact TSYS@macpractice.com in order to schedule your update and migration of your TSYS platform in order for you to continue processing credit cards with TSYS.
Before we can release the update to your office, there are some important steps you will need to complete to prepare for the new TSYS integration. Please read the following thoroughly and reply all with questions.
The MacPractice update may require changes to your current hardware configuration in order to meet and be supported by our System Requirements. At the bottom of this email, we have included the system requirements for this update, which will need to be confirmed by a representative with your office before we can proceed. You can confirm that you meet requirements by responding to this email.
This integration requires a domain to be registered within MacPractice. The immediate purpose of this domain will be to act as a handshake between MacPractice and TSYS for secure card entry but in the future, this domain could be potentially used for online patient payments, a new patient portal and/or a web/mobile interface with limited capabilities for employees to log into MacPractice. What we will need from you is to know whether you would like to register a new domain or subdomain within MacPractice. A subdomain of your existing domain will require that you confirm with your domain registrar that they support subdomain delegation through our registrar, ClouDNS. Registering a domain or subdomain within MacPractice will be at no cost to your office. Let us know what you prefer to do here.
You will need to ensure that your router is configured to open ports 80 and 443 and forwarding them to ports 26691 and 26692 respectively to your MacPractice Server. MacPractice recommends that this configuration is done by an experienced IT professional; however, should you want to configure port forwarding yourself you may access instructions on the manufacturer’s website for your router.
In advance of your update, we will need your Merchant ID. Please confirm your Merchant ID with TSYS. We will also need to know which email address you would like activation emails and recurring payment decline/partial approval emails to go to. You can choose the same email address or different email addresses for this.
All steps above must be completed prior to scheduling your update. Reply to TSYS@macpractice.com schedule a date/time to get your office updated, domain registered with MacPractice, TSYS account switched to the new gateway and get information on how to use your new TSYS integration! TSYS requires a 24-hour advanced notice of a scheduled upgrade so they can have everything switched and ready before our call.
A backup must be completed before our scheduled update time.
Be sure to verify any Third-Party Compatibility prior to updating your OS. You may need to contact the third-party software company directly.
Build 15+ now has CCDA Updates! If you would like a refresher on the CURES Act, you can refer to our CURES Act article located on our HelpDesk at this link here.

When installing MacPractice on Ventura, a notification will state "Login Items Added, MacPractice, Inc added items that can run in the background." These items can be controlled by going to the Apple menu > Systems Settings > General > Login Items > "Allow in the Background". If a user disables MacPractice in that area while MacPractice is already running, it will not take affect until the system is restarted. Updating Caveats

We are preparing to schedule these updates one at a time and have added your office to the list to contact when we are ready. CC'd on this email is TSYS@macpractice.com, which will be your main contact email going forward for this process.

Updating Caveats
Be sure to verify any Third-Party Compatibility prior to updating your OS. You may need to contact the third-party software company directly.
If you are already on a compatible macOS, please make sure that you are on the latest version of macOS. This can be found under Apple > About This Mac > Software Update.
Be aware that if you are running build 7.3 or older, MacPractice Build 11 will require a backup during the installation and cannot be skipped.
We strongly recommend running a MacPractice backup before updating/installing a new build of MacPractice or your MacOS.
