Drug Sets

Add a New Drug Set

1. Navigate to the Rx Ability > ePrescribe, then click the Drug Sets Maintenance link from the List Maintenance section in the Admin tab.

2. Click the Add Set button at the top of the Drug Sets Maintenance list.
   
   

   
   
   

3. Enter name for the Drug Set and click the Add button. 

   1. NOTE: The new drug set displays at the top of the Drug Sets Maintenance list. After saving, new drug sets are organized alphabetically.
      
      

      
      
      

4. Click the Add button to add the first drug to the set. 

   • Click the Remove button to remove drugs from the set.
     
     

5. Enter the drug name and click the Drug Search button. Search Results display below. Click the Caret on the Search button to filter for only ophthalmic drugs or to include obsolete drugs.
   
   

6. Click the Caret next to the drug name to see drug form options. 

7. Click the appropriate Drug Form.

8. Enter Sig Instructions and Dispense Information, then click the Add to Drug Set button.
   
   

9. The drug is added and the drug set displays in alphabetical order in the Drug Sets Maintenance list. Click the Add button to add additional drugs to the drug set.

Rename a Drug Set

1. Access the drug set on the Drug Sets Maintenance list and click the Rename Drug Set icon.
   
   

    

2. Edit the Drug Set Name and click the Rename button. 

   • Click the Cancel button to cancel the action.

Delete a Drug Set 

1. Access the drug set on the Drug Sets Maintenance list and click the Delete icon.
   
   

2. Click the Yes, Delete button to permanently delete the drug set.

   • Click the Cancel button to cancel the action.
     
     

Compounds

Add New Compound

1. Click the Compounds Maintenance link in the List Maintenance section from the Admin tab.

2. Click the New Compound button to open the Compound Builder.
   
   

3. Enter a name for the compound in the Label field.
   
   

4. Click the Add Ingredient button to enter the first compound ingredient.

5. Enter the first Active Ingredient.
   
   

6. Enter Strength (str), Strength Units (Str Units), Quantity (Qty) and Quantity Units (Qty Units) information. 

    NOTE:  You are required to enter either Strength & Strength Units or Quantity & Quantity Units. Entering both Strength and Quantity is optional but not required. 
   
   

7. Click the Add Ingredient button as needed to enter multiple ingredients.
   
   

8. Enter Default Sig and Default Pharmacist Message. Enter Dispense, Dispense Form, Refills and Schedule information.
   
   

9. Click Save. 

   • Click Cancel to cancel the action.

10. The new compound displays alphabetically in the Compounds List Maintenance section.

Edit Compound

1. Click the Edit button for the compound. The Compound Builder opens.
   
   

2. Edit the compound, then click Save.

   • Click Cancel to cancel the action.

Delete Compound

1. Click the Caret next to Edit Button, then click Delete. The Delete Drug Compound window opens.
   
   

2. Click  Yes, Delete to delete the compound. 

   • Click Cancel to cancel the action.
     
     

Prescribe Compound

Before you can prescribe a Compound, you must first make sure one’s been added as described in the prior section ePrescribe V2 - Drug Sets and Compounds | Add New Compound.

1. Click the Compounds button from the Compose Rx tab. The Compounds list opens.  

   1. NOTE:  If you have not already created the compound, it will not display in Compounds list. Click the caret next to the Compounds button and select Add Compound to create a new compound or edit an existing compound.
      
      

2. Click the Radio Button next to the desired compound.

3. Click Prescribe.

4. Click Transmit.
