Universal Coding Selector
The Universal Coding Selector is used throughout MacPractice to help an office select which diagnosis codes are appropriate.
The following example is used within the Problem List in the Clinical Tab, but the Selector will be available any time diagnosis codes are used in MacPractice.
The Enable ICD9 Helper checkbox will turn on the Helper and utilize it while searching for the proper code.
There are four tabs that designate how the codes are displayed. The Search bar is confined to which ever tab is selected.
In iEHR 9.9 and MacPractice Build 9.9.6, the Diagnosis Code Selector has also been updated to display the All, Patient, Favorites, and Top 50 tabs.
The breakdown of the tabs:
All
This tab populates every ICD 10 code (every ICD 9 code if the ICD 9 Helper is turned on). While navigating codes in the All tab, a trail of breadcrumb links is displayed.
Patient
These are any codes that have ever been assigned to the selected patient, even if the diagnosis was never added to the patient's Problem List.
Favorites
Codes that have been marked with a star will appear here.
When a code is selected, single clicking in the Alias column allows an Alias to be added or edited.

This is a list of the Top 50 Diagnosis Codes used within the office.
