iPhone Interface - Security
The MacPractice iPhone interface connects to the database using SSL (Secure Socket Layer). All communication between the iPhone and the MacPractice server is conducted over a secure connection.
A valid MacPractice username and password are required to log in to the interface. There is not an option to remember a username and password, so it must be manually entered each time. The default username and password does not allow you to log in to the MacPractice iPhone interface.
In Preferences (in the iPhone interface), you can set the application to logout in a set number of minutes.
NOTE: The application will not log out out until you try and view a page.
Additionally, a user can set a lock code for the iPhone as a whole, preventing unauthorized access.
