Optical Rx Data Pull Fields

This table is only available in MacPractice 2020. All of the fields come from the Optical Ability > Optical > Prescription tab. Unless otherwise noted, the name of the pull field is the name of the field in the Optical ability.

  • Bridge Size: Bridge field, found under the Eye Wear tab

  • Comments: Comments field, found under the Prescription tab

The Contact fields can all be found under the Contact Lenses tab in the lower half of the Optical prescription window.

  • Contact OD/OS Axis: OD/OS Axis fields

  • Contact OD/OS Base Curve: OD/OS Base Curve fields

  • Contact OD/OS Cylinder: OD/OS Cylinder fields

  • Contact OD/OS Diameter: OD/OS Diameter fields

  • Contact OD/OS Lens Color: OD/OS Contact Color fields

  • Contact OD/OS Lens Company: OD/OS Contact Lens Company fields

  • Contact OD/OS Lens Material: OD/OS Contact Material fields

  • Contact OD/OS Lens Name: OD/OS Contact Lens Name fields

  • Contact OD/OS Lens Power: OD/OS Lens Power fields

  • Contact OD/OS Lens Type: OD/OS Contact Lens Type fields

  • Contact OD/OS Optic Zone: OD/OS Optic Zone fields

  • Contact OD/OS Peripheral Curve: OD/OS Periph. Curve fields

  • Contact OD/OS Radius: OD/OS Contact Radius fields

  • Contact OD/OS Secondary: OD/OS Secondary fields

  • Contact OD/OS Sphere: OD/OS Sphere fields

  • Contact OD/OS Thickness: OD/OS Thickness fields

  • Exam Date: Exam Date field, found under the Prescription tab

The following fields pull from the Eye Wear tab in the lower half of the Optical prescription window:

  • Eye Size: Eye Size field

  • Frame A: A field

  • Frame B: B field

  • Frame Color: Frame Color field

  • Frame ED: ED field

  • Frame Manufacturer: Frame Company field

  • Frame Model: Name/Model field

  • Frame Name: Frame Collection field

  • Frame Type: Type field

  • Has AR Coat: Will pull yes if the AR Coat checkbox is checked and no if it is unchecked

  • Is Bifocal: Will pull yes if the AR Coat checkbox is checked and no if it is unchecked

  • Is Contact Prescription: Will pull yes if the Eye Wear fields are filled out is checked and no if the Contact Lenses fields are filled out

  • Is Eyewear Prescription: Will pull yes if the Contact Lenses fields are filled out is checked and no if the Eye Wear fields are filled out

  • Is Polarized: Will pull yes if the AR Coat checkbox is checked and no if it is unchecked

  • Is Progressive: Will pull yes if the AR Coat checkbox is checked and no if it is unchecked

  • Is Single Vision: Will pull yes if the AR Coat checkbox is checked and no if it is unchecked

  • Is Sunglasses: Will pull yes if the AR Coat checkbox is checked and no if it is unchecked

  • Is Trifocal: Will pull yes if the AR Coat checkbox is checked and no if it is unchecked

  • Lens Color: Lens Color field

  • Lens Extra: Extra field

  • Lens Material: Lens Material field

  • Lens Options: Lens Options field

  • Lens Type: Lens Type field

The following fields are found under the Prescription tab in the upper half of the Optical prescription window, unless otherwise noted.

  • OD/OS Add: OD/OS Add fields

  • OD/OS Axis: OD/OS Axis fields

  • OD/OS Cylinder: OD/OS Cylinder fields

  • OD/OS Distance PD: OD/OS Dist. PD fields

  • OD/OS Near PD: OD/OS Near PD fields

  • OD/OS O. C.: OD/OS O. C. fields

  • OD/OS Prism: OD/OS Prism field

  • OD/OS Quantity: OD/OS Quantity field of the Contact Lenses tab

  • OD/OS Sphere: OD/OS Sphere field

  • OD/OS Visual Acuity: OD/OS Visual fields

  • Prescription Date: Date the prescription record was saved to the database

  • Prescription Expiration Date: Date entered in the Rx Expiration Date field.

  • Prescription Type (Glasses/Contacts): If the Eye Wear tab fields were filled out for the prescription it will pull Glasses as the prescription type. If the Contact Lenses tab fields were filled out for the prescription it will pull Contacts as the prescription type. If both tabs were filled out for the prescription it will pull in Contacts as the prescription type.

  • Seg. Ht.: Seg. Ht. field under the Eye Wear tab

  • Temple: Temple field in the Eye Wear tab
