EHR Preconfigured Section - Chief Complaint
The Chief Complaint section is designed to record the patient's reason for a particular visit. This element essentially acts as a text box. This element essentially acts as a simple text box, but the data entered into this box will show on the Continuity of Care document (CCDA) printed from the Clinical Summary. For more info on exporting the CCDA from Clinical, see this article.
This section can be used on patient-facing Clipboard forms.
The contents of this section are as follows:
“Chief Complaint” Text Box - used to enter text regarding the patient’s main reason for their visit.
Data Pulling popover (⤓ - down-facing arrow icon) - see article here.
Gear icon - see article here.
Clicking the down-facing arrow icon will reveal previous Chief Complaint data from past forms for this patient (if any exist).
When pulling data from a previous record, you will see a blue bar appear over the section indicating where the data is pulling from and giving the option to pull the data (by clicking Pull Data) or not (by clicking Cancel). Clicking Cancel will revert to a blank section.
